First the biggest changes to super in 10 years last July – and now Labor is threatening a tax grab on excess franking credits! There seems to be constant change around super and retirement savings, and it can be hard to keep up.
Even if you're across the broad changes, are you in danger of breaching the super contribution caps this year? Remember there's now a $25,000 ceiling that applies to all of us (and this includes compulsory super). With that in place, you may also be concerned that you won't be able to save enough in super.
If you need help, put your question to AFR contributor Colin Lewis of Fitzpatricks Private Wealth. We're gathering questions for a Facebook Live video on May 1. Don't leave it until then, though – send your question in now on the attached Google doc to get a better chance of it being answered.
